What's up with the minigun?

So I just found a minigun stealing weapons. When I first saw the report I was saying "Alright!". Then I saw it's stats:

Minigun
Firepower: 100
Accuracy: 4

Machine Gun (picture shows a Tommy gun)
Firepower: 150
Accuracy: 5

So you're telling me that a Tommy Gun (the machine gun show in the picture) has more firepower and more accuracy?

Let's see,
A tommy gun spits out .45 caliber shells at up to 1200 rounds per minute depending upon the model. A minigun fires 7.62 mm shells at upwards of 6000 rounds per minute. More common rates are 600 rpm for the tommy, and 3000 rpm for the mini.

Granted the mini is heavier and uses a smaller caliber, but really?
