Bugs

have some bugs to report and i hope there will be a solution to these soon

1. cost of changing house. i have a (lvl4 i think) house (small apartment at suburbs). when i tried to move to a "Small apartment downtown" for 200$ per week, it asked me for moving in 160000$!!! 160,000$ to change house????? too much isnt it for this level, if you consider that for the previous change i paid only 8,000! shouldnt this one be 16,000$? maybe you put an extra zero? and it isnt just a typing mistake, because when i try to rent it, it wont let me saying i dont have enough money! "You need 160000 $ in order to move into this house. But you only have xxxxx $ ! Therefore the real estate company could not get you a new house."

2. lower mobsters wage. when the current wage of my mobster is between $250 and $500 and i want to lower it at $250, it wont let me do it. when i use 1 attribute point to lower the wage it just wont do anything. i lowered his wage already under $500 but thats all. it wont let me lower it more, to exactly $250. i try it with another mobster also. again wont let me lower it. if you cant fix this problem(or dont want to fix), then change the description in the mobsters overview and in the helpdesk and say that the minimum wage is an amount below $500 and not that its $250.

3. players market auction add time. when i make a bid in an auction in the players market, it adds 2 minutes to the remaining time! i dont know if this is a bug, but if its not, i dont see whats its usefulness! why should it add 2 minutes extra to the remaining time? i never heard of an extension in an online auction!!! if it is a bug, then please fix it.

4. Buying things multiple times. when i buy something from the black market and then press back or forward button on my browser and return to that page again (through back or forward), it automatically buys multiple copies of the same object i bought before. when its cheap(newspaper etc) its not such a problem, but imagine buying a car(for example) twice! [this problem has been reported before but as it seems there was no solution to it!]

1) no it's not a bug. you have to pay 160k
2)that's true. it is sth i was going to ask
3)no it's not a bug. that's how auctions work.
4)true but, why do you keep pressing back button? just press home button
(21:33:21) Antonis: just quit begging my players for info
(21:33:39) Rodachul: it is a legitimate way to find info.

i have my objections

1. so, i have to pay $1.000 for the first house, 2.000 for 2nd, 4.000 for 3rd, 8.000 for 4rth, and 160.000 for 5th??? do you see this reasonable? dont you see its a bug? it doubles in the first 4 levels but then it decides to be 20 times more expensive?

3. NOWHERE online auctions work like this! ALL online auctions have a certain time they finish. what would happen if 2 people wanted the same thing so bad that they were willing to bid for hours? the 3 day auction would extend for another 3 weeks until they decided to stop(because they had to sleep)? this is not real life. this is an online auction and in all the games i played, the auction finishes at a certain time. no extensions. anyway...

4. thats how i use my browser. many times i push back and forward button. even if i stop pressing back and forward(which i wont), it doesnt change the fact that this is a bug!!!

1. Its just how things are. Been like this forever, and i doubt it going to change. but i can see your reasoning...if from the beginning the prices get double, it should be like that for the rest of the house level but that's not how it is here...but it's not a bug.

2.Ya can see your understanding there, that may be a bug, was going to hit up revenger about that.

3. Actually, some online auctions do work like this. the one i can think off, for another game, they actually add 5 minute extra instead of 2.

4.Ya, i don't think this is so much of a bug but if there's a way revenger can fix this, it will be helpful. i believe it's how the computer work...because sometimes when i send a message online on a message board or something, i send the back button..it will double my post...back pressing the back button, you are *resending* the information through the net...thus ending in you buying the same object again...but out of curiosity, if you noticed this the first time..why didn't you just press the home button or another one, instead of pressing the back button?

Edit: To add 2)

Only thing i agree with is #2. It would be nice to make mobsters exactly 250.

I actually like the you can buy mutliple items from the black market by pressing F5 after purchasing, it saves times.

The reason for the huge increase in house price is that you go from renting to buying. As for the 2 minute increase on the auction, this was done so that no one could make a bid at the last moment and buy an item from the market when someone else was also bidding at the last moment. This method allows the item to sell for something closer to the actual value of the item. And you don't have to worry about the auction going on for days or weeks b/c someone will eventually run out of money or time and give up.

"While searching among the house lists you come across of the following opportunity:
Name of house: Small apartment downtown
This house will cost you: 200 $ per week
If you want to move in this house, you will have to use 2 turns (ordering it and moving into it needs time) and you will also have to pay 160000 $."

So you are telling me, i will buy the house for 160,000$ but i will still pay 200$ rent per week. First time i hear paying rent for a house i own! But again, there is first time for everything in this game!!!!!!

Probably a mistake. You should put this into the typo thread under bugs and see if Revenger will change it to something that makes more sense.

K i have spoken to revenger about the mobster *bug*

turns out it's not a bug, just suppose to be that way.

it is meant to be like this. after all such difference is considered unimporant.

Not really a bug or a typo. You just need to see it from a wider perspective. You do buy the house instead of renting it that's the reason behind the huge money difference. However, even in your own house, you have to pay the bills. That's the 200$ per week. It's not rent. It's the money you need to keep your house... well... a house. :P
