euro championship

Post by crus corleone » Sat Jun 14, 2008 12:30 am

ok, what did Greece do in the 0-2 loss against Sweden ??

was the tactic supposed to be ultra defense and going for a draw ?

or did Rehnhagel hoped you´ll score on a corner/free kick etc ?

Will euro 2008 end for Greece after tomorrow´s game against Russia ?

What are your thoughts ?

and Sweden probably will be greased by Spain tomorrow...

I don't know what the team was thinking the other day, but I do know that the game was crap. We didn't deserve to win playing that way. Hopefully, if our players wake up and defeat Russia today, we may still have a shot. It'll be a long shot but that's how we got the last cup after all. ;)

Good luck to Sweden today, although Spain seems very strong. We'll have to wait and see. We might all be in for surprises.

Gooooo Spain!!!! Viva Espana!!

They totallly dominated today's game. The score would have been much higher in Spain's favor but you have to hand it to Sweden's defense.

Great disappointment.. We lost the first game because of this great player, Ibrahimovits.
In my opinion we didnt deserve to lose from Russia. But it's ok.
We are still proud of this team for what having succeeded in euro 2004.
Russia vs Sweden is gonna be a really interesting game.
Good luck crusader

Ibrahimovitch had nothing to do with our defeat against Sweden. Our team was simply not there in the field that day, period. The Greek team I've watched so far has nothing to do with the team I saw in 2004 even if it's more or less the same players. Even if our goal against Russia shouldn't have been canceled in my opinion (although I didn't see it all too well to be sure), the team did not deserve to get past this round given their current performance.

If Ibrahimovic had kept playing against Spain, everything could have happened. Too bad he's injured. :|

I'm looking forward to seeing Sweden - Russia.

Forget all this and just think about the netherlands. Their football is amazing, but more is to come in this competition. Last time the underdog won. Maybe this time we'll have a lot of surprises too.

Sweden - Russia was awful... Well, Sweden was. Lame football at it's best (or worst...?).

Since Sweden's out, go Holland!
